This is the best spot to catch Herons flying across the swamp. You have a large open view left to right, minimal Spanish Moss in your face.

And guess who claims it early in the day.

You can see a tree trunk, so if you keep to your own side it’s OK, but the tree does block some view.

From the other side his butt is in the way. And it’s a substantial one at that.

Walking around him does work, but it is not the perfect solution.
