OK, so not an Alligator. It is a reptile. A Green (Carolina) Anole to be specific.

One of the most common animals around the Lowcountry.

They are so common, and so sneaky, that we rarely leave the back door to our porch open. I know of at least one that has made a winter home on my porch.

They eat insects so having them around is a nice way to keep them under control.
I just don’t want them running around inside.
