Many of the Alligators in this large marsh area have unique scars and markings. It’s interesting how they will stay around specific locations. This one, with a large white scar, is always in one of three marsh ponds.

This was the furthest marsh I have seen him in. But all the places run along the same old rice field dikes.

This guy is fairly old, and large. Maybe 11 feet (3.3 meters). He is not the largest around though. There are several here larger.

After watching each other for a few minutes he made the first move. If you wait long enough, and the Alligator is looking back (meaning not asleep), curiosity gets to them.

I thought he was coming over but this is a far as he went. They do this sometimes.
Maybe they have short attention spans.
