Golden hour, right after sunrise, or shortly before sunset. This is always considered the best time for outdoor photography.

Like everything else, there are exceptions but the light actually is softer and reflections easy without daytime glare.

Both images here were made around an hour after the sunrise.

Glare was just starting to be a problem.

I shoot any time, wildlife allows that. They have no watches.
