These photographs came from my favorite spot in this swamp. It is halfway between groups of swamp nesting trees and woods lining the shore.

The birds fly back and forth and many times pass right in front of me.

For Alligators there is an old wooden ramp and the branches overhead are clear of Spanish Moss. None to drift in front of me when shooting.

And just as good is the fact several other photographers know this spot too. When it’s slow we can socialize, compare notes, and wait for some action.
