When you try to walk by as if nothing is happening.

Eye contact is important with animals. If you don’t look at an animal, ignore it, and continue with what you are doing most likely everything is fine.

I do that when I need to go past something, maybe get a shot from another angle. It actually works.

However, I had to walk by this Heron very close on a trail. I couldn’t help myself and turned for one more shot.
