He was sitting on the trail, showing his ‘gator smile’ to us as we went by. This is a popular spot for Alligators and people. Tourist season is here and the trail is near an old large plantation.
In general he made a big impression with some visitors. Pretty much shock, some loud comments, and U Turns!
In reality this was a teenager getting warm in the sun. And paying zero attention to people going by.
Little does he know by sitting there visitors go home with a great Alligator story, others visit here and spend money, and this swamp is left alone to be his safe home.
Considering he could live another 40 – 50 years it’s nice he is doing his part.
