To me the Live Oaks, covered with Spanish Moss is the picture of the south. I always thought this, long before I had ever visited here. It’s like mint juleps on a summer porch. Gone With The Wind Stuff (never saw the movie).

These trees in Magnolia Cemetery are all that. Except the mint julep part. But this was originally a plantation so that counts for something.

Some here are huge. There is a swamp nearby where some cypress are around 1,000 years old. Yep, the zeros are correct
