This Alligator, mid sized, was making a stealthy slide by. Not swimming, pushing himself along the bottom slowly.

I was near the swamps edge and being smaller he might have felt intimidated.

Since an Alligator is so low to the ground they must look up at people. One reason they avoid us is we seem much bigger to them.
