This young Egret was demanding, and aggressive. That’s what it takes to survive.

Sad to say there was a second chick here for a few weeks. For whatever reason, it did not live.

These nests are out in direct sun and we do get 100 degrees (38 c) here. I’m sure that’s a factor.

This chick has grown and is flying now.
