There is a corner in this swamp that only gets light for a short time each day. At times it’s even too dark for any photographs at all…we still try.

If the sun wasn’t coming through the tree canopy I would have missed him and walked right by.

The colors on the birds head and tip of the bill will fade soon. These are still the breeding shades.
