I think that I too am a little rough around the edges as I age. I can’t quite see the details of the body, but I think your dragonfly is a Blue Dasher, probably a female. I love the turquoise-colored eyes of this species.
Details, you want details 😳. LOL
I have a friend who is even more of a dragonfly fanatic than I am–he is always talking of the importance of photographing the terminal appendages and getting a dorsal shot. 🙂
Has he seen help ?
BTW, what I forgot to include here was as these were shot…Bull Alligators were growing around us. LOL. Ellen is a trooper
Yikes. I don’t think I could be as focused on dragonflies if I were shooting in that kind of environment.
LOL, it’s amazing how it’s become part of the day out shooting. I took my phone out yesterday to record one so of course he immediately stopped.
Thanks Mike and Ted, I enjoyed eavesdropping on your conversation thread and it started my day with a smile 🙂
We are spreading laugher across the globe, what could be better.
Laughter is very infectious 🙂
Glad you enjoyed the exchange, Liz. It’s fun to joke around with familiar viewers–Ted and I post some similar images, but I certainly can’t match his alligators.
Well, someday it may come back and bite me… pun intended 😂
, taken a “few” flights
Looks that way 😀
What a great detailed shot.
Thanks so much, I got as much in focus as possible. I don’t use macro gear (just the opposite), and need be back away from the subjects to get them in the lens. Besides, many times I don’t want to step where they happen to be 😀😀
Hazzard of the location 🙂
