I think that I too am a little rough around the edges as I age. I can’t quite see the details of the body, but I think your dragonfly is a Blue Dasher, probably a female. I love the turquoise-colored eyes of this species.
I have a friend who is even more of a dragonfly fanatic than I am–he is always talking of the importance of photographing the terminal appendages and getting a dorsal shot. π

Thanks so much, I got as much in focus as possible. I donβt use macro gear (just the opposite), and need be back away from the subjects to get them in the lens. Besides, many times I donβt want to step where they happen to be ππ
