First article in a series of Brown Pelicans in flight.
Not the largest Pelican, yet at 5 feet (1.5 meters) and a wind span of 7.7 feet (2.28 meters) it is a large bird.
Both the Pelican and I were low on the water for this fly by.

Great capture of a magnificent bird. As I walk the beaches of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, I love to watch the Brown pelicans fly, and dive… We have no Pelicans on the shores of Vancouver Island in Canada so I need to get my fill while vacationing.
Sweet, awesome photos, don’t there eyes look like they are looking right at you, I have taken shots of them over my head, and when you look at the photo, there eye is like following you. The definition on the wings is just gorgeous.
