Once again, the Wood Stork crash landing. I admit to paying special attention to them so I can photograph another landing.

Their wing span is around four meters, so every landing has the potential for a good image.


Another reason I try for these shots is I may not get a chance to see a big flock for a long time. The organized chaos is special so the more photographs the better.

I saw my first Stork maybe five years ago, and my first large flock only three years ago.
I’m still star struck.

Thanks. Funny but most times the others just step aside and let the new one land. I always thought that odd. Well, not sure if it’s the heat or what but recently there have been disagreements over pushing in.
