This is a Little Blue Heron in the last stages of a color change. We have had a number around and it is interesting to watch.

This one was fishing in a dark swamp and it made for some images that clearly showed the change.

For 18 months the juvenile is pure white, almost like an Egret.

Above the dark blue shows what he will be in a few more months.
