The dark background here was caused by the tree canopy over the creek. The ecosystem blends together all around here.
Actually, just went to a barrier island that has been unchanged since forever. Even the biologist had a hard time explaining it. We were first there, soon several universities will be going and studying the growth. Amazing place, but hard to photograph.
That barrier island sounds amazing and exciting!
It is. One of the few pristine maritime forests in existence.
