Everything in Charleston has been ‘reinvented’ at some point. That’s the beauty of old towns like this.
Once a tenement for many years on a main street, then the sale of oil, butane, and gas.
A corner restaurant found a home here.
Also an event and reception room had a home.
It appears some apartments have returned.
Once again some change is coming, yet the history and bones remain.
Ahhh, the stories it could tell.
Nicely done! I’ve come across the same kinds of signs here of long defunct businesses. I enjoy these glimpses of the past.
I have read that Richmond Virginia has many buildings with these signs. I love them. 👍
