This Green Heron, grumpy expression, was not looking happy. For the longest time he sat on the wooden ramp watching all around for some type of prey.
What was not in my line of sight, so not in the photographs, was a mid-sized Alligator hanging near the opposite side of this ramp.
He sat here probably trying to figure out his options. Ultimately he determined the Alligator was no threat and went about his business of fishing.

On the first photo a heron looks like he needs a hug.
