Stop At The Boynton House

Boynton house, off a dirt road, then down a dirt road.

This road will be closed off in another week, since I could see it between the trees I stopped.

Each winter roads here are closed to protect the environment and migrating wildlife.

There’s always a chance part may fall in and it’s a beautiful old house so why not keep photographs up to date.

Note; The Boyton family ran a cattle ranch is this swamp/marsh probably 100 years ago. This is all that remains within a wildlife management area.

  1. What a fascinating old house. I love that they close the roads for such noble purposes. Interesting family name….wonder if there’s a direct connection with the Boynton of our city here in Palm Beach County – Boynton Beach. Oddly enough, many areas of Florida were used for cattle ranching not so long ago.
