I came across several markers like these. It seems cold, impersonal.

The cemetery has many small burial sites. The infant mortality rate was very high in the 1800’s. There were epidemics, city wide fires, a war, even an enormous earthquake.

Even so, some kind of recognition would have been nice.

Note; I hesitated to take the photographs, and wither to publish or not. Here, in Magnolia Cemetery, there are many stories/images to tell. They are disappearing a little more with each storm, each season. I want to document what is there, this is part of it.
