The Swan is one of the more aggressive birds we encounter. Beautiful, but nothing really nice about them.
The town of Sumter, South Carolina, was left a trust by a wealthy business man to support a park filled with Swans. The town has embraced it beyond what was probably expected. Every breed of swan, worldwide, is raised and lives there free. Just don’t get too close.
I don’t think I saw a Mute Swan. I also didn’t know that these birds are not nice. I like a lot this photo, Ted.
Swans are very ‘nasty’. I have seen them attack Kayaks. They are also one of the most destructive birds. They can pull all the reeds for
a shoreline and only eat half what they pull.
