When shooting in old Magnolia Cemetery I always spend some time in the ‘old backend’ section. Over the years it has been damaged, but there is a beauty in ruin.
This visit I found some places, like the Umbra Plantation House, were being repaired. Other spots were showing even more wear from the last hurricane.
This cemetery has gained fame on par with the incredible New Orleans St. Louis and Lafayette cemeteries. It’s the rust and ruin here that fascinates people.
I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. The plantation house is better so that’s a good thing.
