Getting to shoot in one of the old churches in town takes a little planning. I was good at that once. Somehow I became ‘grab gear and go’.
I tend to use my backup gear when I can visit an old church. In my mind (probably not true) my old camera gets better color and I can live with more noise/grain.
This is the Unitarian Church in Charleston. It is the second oldest church in town, in a city of old historic churches. It was almost complete in 1776 but a revolution got in the way and had to wait till that stuff was finished.
The Unitarian Church, like many of the ones here, has tall and intricate arches and ceiling work. On visits light is typically low, the stained glass windows provide what can get.

This church is one of the few that opens for visitors to view. Saturday, 10:00 thru 1:00 doors are open.
Nice shots of a beautiful old church. They just aren’t making them like that any more.
Fortunately I know you’re a photographer. These days the title means something entirely different, sadly.

Thanks. I need to add some of these to the sites ‘static’ page. We shot a lot of churches up north and in Europe.
