The Heron came up from behind me which was too bad, I might have gotten a closeup of him gliding.

Facing the marsh from the bank I was able to capture the landing before he disappeared into the reeds.


The angle and shot is different, I’m not usually standing next them, so I took the entire sequence.


In thinking about this I wonder why there was no ‘squawks’ coming in so close. A situation like this can be loud too.
