Amazing how big these guys can get here in Florida, tho we know they do not do well in the cold! We were wondering whether our recent chilly weather (below 60°!😊) would kill off some of the many iguanas that have prospered here.
I can tell you no, they are doing just fine.

I would guess this one was about 3 feet. Being from ‘Alligator’ land that’s why I assumed a gator. This is the first one I ever bumped into. Good thing it was just off the hard car path, I never would have seen him.

They are pretty common in the mangrove swamps in Florida. Still… I prefer Alligators even though they are bigger. LOL
