Neither bird cared if the human crew knew they were onboard. They were pirates. Having to share with another pirate/Egret was the problem.
It was loud, but over quick. The first thief stood his ground, the prize was his.
Smaller Snowy Egrets were near but I guess they were not considered competition.
With the interloper driven away the first thief waited for the crew to share the spoils. Which they always do.
It was a good day to be a pirate.
