We always ‘think pink’ of Spoonbills. There is actually several vivid colors in the adults.

Orange on the tail and lower belly can be striking as mating season comes.

Breeding adults have a green hue to their featherless head.

In general it’s a weird combination of color but it works for them. What else would you expect from a ‘Spoonbill’ bird.
