One of those ‘You can’t make this stuff up’ moments.
The poor Yellow-crowned Night Heron was completely surprised to find a Snowy Egret coming to steal some little worm ‘thingie’. Scared him half to death, and he jumped straight up.
It started with him digging in the exposed vegetation.
Caught a mouthful of something and at the same time an Egret ran over. Above was his reaction.
The Night Heron spun around on one foot and ran like a track star.
A moment later he stood around trying to act like nothing happened.
Like I said…
You can’t make this stuff up.
