A long battle in a very low inlet.  It was a low tide to begin with, and then a heavy wind pushed the water back even more.

This Great Blue Heron was sure he found something deep in the thick exposed bottom vegetation.

Whatever it was would not let go.

This Heron pulled, tried to take flight, even twist around sideways. Nothing seemed to work.
