Tide and waves were moving around strong but he never even stumble.
That said it is not uncommon to find these shore birds with only a single working leg. But they do seem to get around just fine.
To add confusion here, if you see a shore bird hopping on one leg that can mean nothing. I have seen whole flocks hopping on one leg, at the same time. Like a giant exercise class.

They have beautiful wing feathers. However, they fly so fast I never get a shot !
