We wanted a day without any swamps or marshes. We could shoot different methods, and gear.
I used a smaller camera, Canon 70D, and a few lighter lens, mostly primes. I set the camera to monochrome so I would only see results in black and white.
I even had ‘real people type’ shoes on.

We did have a few stops in mind but as always worked the side streets. All the old buildings make for much more interesting photographs.

Below we cut through one of the many alleys in the French Quarter. An Italian Hero (Sub, Hoagie, whatever regional name) was calling me, a short cut was needed.
If you are a New Yorker, or any Northeast Yankee, hit the Brown Dog Cafe. It may be the only real Hero sandwich in the south.
