Not wanting to neglect the Herons and South Carolina swamps we photographed a rookery a few days ago.
Some of the closer nesting Cypress Trees were empty, but there is always some activity this time of year.
Unlike most birds a Great Blue will almost always greet their mate when returning to the nest.
