Not an adult, but not really a juvenile either. Best I’ve got is a ‘teenager’.

I’m pretty sure this bird has spent his entire life (18 months or so) right in this swamp. Little Blues nest on the far side of the swamp. There has been a bird slowly changing from the pure white of a baby to this almost solid blue. It takes about 28 months.

There is still some white along the head and chest, the other feathers are not the vivid slate of an adult.

Interesting to watch this guy age and grow in a safer environment.
