Get No Respect, A Gull

Get No Respect, A Gull

The title steals the line from Rodney Dangerfield’s classic line of humor.

The Ring-billed Gull is everywhere, but rarely do photographers take the time to shoot them.

They are resourceful and in flight acrobats. I tell new wildlife photographers to find Gulls and practice their in-flight shooting on them. If you get good with the Gull, you can work with most other birds.

  1. Great photos this morning, they made me laugh. That is what I did, I started practicing photographing the Ringed Billed Gull. They practically stop in mid air sometimes. I learned focusing quicker while photographing them.

  2. Struttin’ his stuff in front of all those little “peeps”! Good capture. William — “What a wildly wonderful world, God! You made it all, with Wisdom at Your side, made earth overflow with your wonderful creations.” Psalms 104 The Message
