A few groups of White Ibis have been staying close to some back trails around a swamp. It’s dark and there a branches, knees, and stumps everywhere.
However, a few close and open spots there seem OK with the Ibis.
The short distance helps getting a good ‘look’ at their crazy blue eyes.
Striking birds and photos!
The eyes always get me. Thanks.
He is beautiful! White and read is a wonderful combination of colors!
Excellent photos!
Thank you. They were surprisingly clean too.
One of my favorite short stories that I read in high school was called The Scarlet Ibis. I remember wondering what that bird looked like. This was before the internet. So thanks! Beautiful shot!
Glad you liked them. I think Scarlet Ibis are in South America. A Glossy Ibis, from Florida and Central America has incredible iridescent colors. 🙂 Thanks.
Love those gorgeous blue eyes!
🙂 Seems so out of place too LOL
