I used to go to a small church that belonged to a monastery (it’s closed right now). The church was very simple but also had stained glass windows, they were amazing.
The older Charleston Churches were founded by wealthy merchants and plantation owners. The town is called the ‘Holy City’ because there are so many churches. Tiffany stained glass is common here with one of the Tiffany children actually moving here due to the number of homes and churches that were clients. Many survived the Civil War (don’t know how).
I always love shooting old churches. I never checked but this site must have over 100 by now. Churches from Paris, France to Hartford, Connecticut LOL.
