They just move along, and then stop…anywhere. If you are standing in one of their paths they may just brush right by you. First few times it scares the…….. I was photographing one coming up out of the water, multi shots, when suddenly I couldn’t get him in focus. Opened my other eye and realized he was standing right there looking up at me LOL. Wanted me to move, I did. 🙂
