OK, road is a bit of a stretch. However there are old tire ruts down the center of this dike. Large marshes are on either side and the Dept. Natural Resources will drive down here to check water levels at times.

The photograph above is what we saw as we came out of the woods. The Storks were settled out in the open napping.

Of course they spotted us.

We had intended to pass through here. The Storks were already here and settled, so they win.

A few more steps forward to get better range with the long lens was as far as we walked. A change of plan and a walk back where we started.
