The corner, far corner, of a marsh. Most of the time you can’t get out here. Early spring the single dike road is open.
There is no one to bother them back here so it’s worth the time to look around the area.
I found it interesting there was not a single adult in this group.
A large number of Snowy Egrets were with this flock also. The small Egrets fight within themselves, but never tangle with the Spoonbills.
That certainly is a parade! What a treat to see so many spoonbills together! And how curious that there were no adults?
I’ve noticed that in these marshes. Many more juveniles than adults.
