Charleston is the perfect spot for a nature photographer. Ocean shore, large marshlands, and swamps all next to each other. Oh, and Pine forests too.
These images were taken at an inlet that is home to not only Willet, but Brown Pelican, Black Skimmer, and numerous smaller shore birds.
For a change of pace a walk along the shore provides many different subjects.
If we shoot wide, get the ocean in a shot, chances are a Dolphin appears in the background.
I’ll have to remember that! My kids live in Charlotte, and we’ve often talked about stopping in Charleston when we drive up. Thanks for the great views.
I have lived in a number of places, but none like Charleston. It really is a great town.
