Both sunrise and sunset down here can be really intense. On many of the images I publish the yellows and reds need to be toned down. I find that to be amazing. Blue sky can be like that too.
Shooting up north was nice but colors needed help. Ellen and I joke about the ‘big sky’ here.

I have spent most of my life living in northern climes, so I am more used to seeing faded, muted tones. I might have to wear sunglasses there to tone down the colors. 🙂

I know what you mean. I’ve had plenty of photographers ask me ‘how I do the sky’. I may have made one composite in my life LOL.

A rain storm was just off shore that morning. Color was so vivid I pulled it back a little to get less of that sunrise.
The lighting is so intense, it looks like the sky is on fire. Wow.
