A Barred Owl taken in the Francis Beidler Forest.

Beidler Forest is in the Four Holes Swamp. This is the world’s largest virgin cypress-tupelo swamp forest. Trees here are over 1,000 years old and still standing.
Owls sit overhead watching for any movement down below. If they are not moving you will never know they are there.
The age of that forest … wow, amazing!
I had never seen anything like this. Not a place to get lost.
