So, there is dark hollow on the side of a dike. It’s covered with trees above, the banks are very steep, Alligators are down below, and the Night Herons perch on an old pine.
The Night Heron on the pine makes a great photograph. That’s what I was sneaking along trying to catch. But nothing there.
However I turned to my left to look out over the marsh…
The Spoonbill was right there watching me the whole time. It was like he was trying to figure out what the heck I was doing.
I had just photographed one a few minutes before, I completely missed this one almost next me.
