Taken one of those times when I actually did pick the right spot to wait.
Images like these are among my favorite series to shoot. The large Herons in action.
One bird was searching for materials in the same corner of the swamp, flying the same route back to the nest. This is about the time all that pretty Spanish Moss blows in front of lens, thankfully not this time.
The delivery was completed, and not a shot missed.
Of course that same day I missed plenty, glad I got these though.

The big birds nesting is a photographers dream. I spent this afternoon in a rookery and in a matter of a few hours of shooting I came out with over 500 photographs. Thanks 😀😀
