The Bunting sat exactly where I didn’t want him to. As expected it was only for a moment. Big surprise.
If I hadn’t seen a streak of color flash by I wouldn’t have even caught this shot.
Each year I get maybe two opportunities to photograph one. Based on this I hope the next one is good.
You’re grumpy about this? The colours on its back are gorgeous, they glow. So pretty!
LOL, thanks. Leaves were in the way.
This is a great shot! What an amazing bird, beautiful colors!
They are beautiful birds. Unfortunately 99% of the time they are behind branches and leaves.
That is such a beautiful bird that I would never see where I live!
We don’t see them all year either. They are from Central America, I think they breed in the Lowcountry.
I wouldn’t complain to much about this one, Ted. Yes, there is a leaf, but it does not detract much from showing the spectacular colors of this beautiful bird. I think it is the curse of the nature photographer that we are never fully satisfied, so we set off in pursuit of the next shot, hoping that it will be better than our last one. 🙂
In this case most of my previous were 😂😂. Thanks, it’s one of those birds that are so stunning they seem to compensate for any shot LOL.
And yes I am my own critic. I am also the one who takes a shot and absolutely loves it… and turns out to be the only one 😂😂😂. 😂.
