A serene, and calm, marsh scene. A simple ‘what I saw’ during a walk.

At one point this was a plantations rice field. That was 200 hundred years ago, now it’s a marsh with natural canals running through grasses, reeds, and small raised islands.

These thousands of acres are now back to the wildlife. The Great Blue Heron above, and Alligator on the back bank, are two of the animals you find at any given moment.

Sometimes it’s nice to pull back a little and get wider shots of this unique environment.
