This may be the worlds longest puberty.

I’m pretty sure he was born here, a little way down the trails in the rookery.

Probably an early juvenile from last year. He liked it here, knew where to hunt, and decided to stay.

Truth be told we all look for him and are glad to see all is well.
The change to dark slate blue is coming, even if it seems like he has been like this forever.
Problem is how will we know it’s him when he looks like all the other adults.
note; I am going out of my way to shoot extra photos of him. It should be interesting to see how much longer he still has some juvenile white feathers.
