I can’t get over how prehistoric these birds look.
Good description. Not that long ago they were an endangered species. They expanded their range and are doing much better now. They have rookeries all along the SC coast now.
So glad to hear they’re on the rebound! Really cool.
There are now some big rookeries of Storks, in places you could never get to.
