This time of year the grasses are very tall, and begin to turn golden brown.
The Great Egret always are wandering around them so I find myself pulling back and the lens to get a wider shot.
These photographs were taken about 6-7 days ago. This morning I visited the same marshes and of course took a few more.
I will compare them when as I finish processing, should be interesting to see if there has been a change already.
Note; I think the plants here just get tired, and can’t grow any longer by the fall. The weather is still hot, humid, and sun most of the time. I had always assumed it was the colder temperatures that started the fall process. That is not the case in the Lowcountry.
